A Barcelona-based artist originally from Russia, Alina has resided and practiced her craft in the vibrant city since 2014. Drawing inspiration from the natural world and the enigmatic aspects of existence, her figurative artworks derive conceptual depth from contemplations on humanity’s relationship with the cosmos. With a recurrent motif of metamorphosis, she delves into themes of transformation, evolution and belonging.
Empowering familiar objects with new meanings and poetic symbolism, the artist reinterprets the still life tradition by isolating one object at a time and placing it within the abstract space. This deliberate placement allows the object to evolve and resonate with deeper significance without distraction, so that each piece becomes a meditative exploration of form and meaning.
